I have been trying to conceive since coming off the Depo injection in August which I only had one dose of in May 2012. For the last month I have been having brown stringey discharge every couple of weeks when I wipe, I have had 3 tests which have all come up negative, what could this be?
After stopping the Depo provera injection, sometimes it may take some time for regularization of the periods. It can present with intermenstrual spotting as withdrawal effect. This can subside within few months after stopping the drug. As your pregnancy tests gave negative results, you can wait and watch for a few days. If your Doctor suggests, you can take antifibrinolytic drugs to control the brown spotting.
By planning, unprotected intercourse around the time of ovulation, that is 13th to 18th day in case of regular 28 to 30 days menstrual cycles, the possibility of pregnancy can be increased. Using tablets for ovulation induction, further increase the chances. So, please discuss these things with your gynecologist and follow her advice.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
