Why Am I Having Burning Sensation In My Left Eye?

i am having a burning sensation in my left eye. it started day before yesterday and has become red and a bit swelled. its burning very much due to which i am getting tears all the time. i had consulted a doctor yesterday and he gave me an antibiotic but it does not seem to help. please help

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having redness, burning sensation and swelling of eye and it is not responding to antibiotic eye drops.
Hence it requires to reconsider the diagnosis and to consider allergic conjunctivitis as a cause.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor to rule out other conditions other than infective conjunctivitis and treatment accordingly.
