Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Why Am I Having Chest Pain On The Right Side, And Breathing Difficulty When Diagnosed With Fibromyalgia?
I am having chest pain on the right side of my chest. It is hard to take a full breath. It is also affecting my right shoulder and going up to my neck. I don t know if it is just a new symptom of my fybro or do I need to be checked out by a doctor. also I woke up with it today and was freezing.
It is necessary making some tests in order to exclude other possible causes that may lead to this situation: - A resting ECG and cardiac enzymes - A cervical spine X ray study - A shoulder X-ray study - Inflammation tests (complete blood count, PCR, ESR).
Fibromyalgia may lead to this clinical situation, but it is important to exclude a possible cardiac issue or a bulging disc in the cervical vertebral column.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
