Why Am I Having Crackling And Popping Sound In My Left Ear Even After Removing White Plug With Blood Streaks From Ear?

I am having "crackling" and "popping" in my left ear, and it sounds as if someone is blowing in the ear. A hearing test was normal for my age. An MRI was normal. An ear Dr. removed a large white plug with some red streaks from the ear, but it did not change the sounds. Ibuprofen 3 times a day for two weeks did not help. Sometimes I'm only aware of it when it's quiet, but lately it's so loud I can hear and feel it constantly. It's not painful, but it's not pleasant. Any suggestions?

Hello

I have studied your case.

I will advise you to do Contrast CT scan to see for any involvement of petrous temporal bone leading to crackling ear sensation.
There can possibility of Temparomandibular joint involvement.
If required you may need to do blood investigation for prognosis and recovery.

Take precaution to avoid spread of infection.
