Why Am I Having Dark Brown Bloody Discharge And Cramps?

I have only had one injection of the depo. I had one normal period the first month. And no period the second month. But this third month I have been bleeding for 3 weeks now. And it is dark brown blood. I also have some cramps which is unusual because I never get cramps with my period. Could something be wrong or is this normal?
