Why Am I Having Ear Pain And Swelling?

Good Morining, I have pain in my right ear and can feel the swelling. There is no discharge but the entire ear pains, also have difficulty in swallowing and pain behind and below the ear as well. My physician has prescribed me cepodem for 10days, 2 times a day. Can you please let me know the reason for the swelling and pain at the earliest . Today is the third day, i have started with cepodem yesterday morning. Many Thanks

Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of right ear pain with swelling in and around the ear as well as pain in the throat which indicate that you have dual problems.
It appears that you have started on the problem with the pharyngeal infection may be with the tonsillitis which has migrated to the ear causing the ear problems.
The virulent infection must have caused the lymph nodes to increase.

I would advise you to get an additional treatment with a good anti-inflammatory medicines along with probiotics and continue on with Cepodem twice a day.
