Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Dear Doctor, Good Morning. I am having fever problem for last almost 2 months. when it started the doctor gave me the antibiotic course suggesting a viral. Post the course the fever started again after almost 10 days with dry cough. I was again given a seven day antibiotic treatment however the fever and dry cough returned after a week. Have got the tests Widal, Malaria, Urine, CBC and XRay chest however all the tests are clear and show no infection. Just my Hemoglobin level is little low around 11. The cough now is gone however mild fever around 99 persists. i am currently taking anti Malaria, pls suggest.
As per your complaint of fever sunce 2 months and all reports r normal and still you R having dry cough is suggesting possibilty of allergic cough. So you Should do allergen test to find out the allergen. And your hemoglobin level is also below normal so persistent mild fever is may be due to Low hemoglobin. So you should take ferrous tab after consulting your family physician.. Get well soon..
