Why Am I Missing My Menses Since Suffering From Anorexia?

Hi, I have suffered from Anorexia for over a year now and I am on my path to recovery. I am almost there. I am at minimal health weight range and been eating normally now for about a month or so. The only problem I still have medically is that my period has not come back yet!
Last night I was masturbating, and I started to bleed afterwards. I am not sure if I broke the hymen or either I got my period back.
I am not sure, and I am too embarrassed to talk to my councillor or parents.
