Why Am I Not Bleeding After Pre Menstrual Cramping?

Hi there, I have been experience severe menstrual cramps for the past week but with absolutely no bleeding. I have dysmenorreah and these cramps are the worst I have ever experienced. pain kiillers do nothing, its sharp and intense and radiates down my legs. Yet no bleeding, as of today my period is late. whats going on?
