Why Am I Only Spotting After Taking An IPill Post Intercourse Without Any Period Bleeding?

Hi, my last period date was on 3rd feb which was completed on 8th feb, then on 11 & 12feb i had sex but immediately withing 48hours i took ipill. At that time Or even now I am consuming antibiotics for tonsils. On 25 feb i observed spotting but till now I am not having periods can u tell why it s happening?

Hi,

I pill contains high dose of hormones, which disturbed menstrual hormonal cycle It acts by postponing normal ovulation. Because of this period gets disturbed and may be delayed by 8 days. If you had unprotected sex in later phase of menstrual cycle. When the postponed ovulation happened to, a conception is likely. This would cause delay in periods for more than a week, here a repeat pregnancy test after 15 -20 days of delayed period is indicated.
