Why Am I Prescribed Modus 10mg When I Am Trying To Conceive?

hi
i got my follicular study and my egg has formed doctor told me to have intercourse and then from 21st day take modus 10mg but I am confused as i think modus is taken to get regular period as i dont want to have my period i want to concieve. should i take duphaston instead of modus

You can take duphaston and continue till 12 weeks of pregnancy.
But modus can also be taken .
They are progestogens which help in sustaining the pregnancy.
