Why Am I Experiencing Abdominal Cramps After Intercourse?

I had anal intercourse 4 days ago with my boyfriend(for the first time) and since then I have been experiencing mild abdominal pains/cramps. The first two days were worse, but these last two days the pain is less frequent but still there. What can this mean?

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
The possibilities are :
- Local abrasions over rectal mucosa, injury to anal sphincter
-Infection of bowel
If the pain persists, once consult gynecologist or general surgeon and get examined.
By examination the possible cause for your problem can be identified.
In case of infection, you may need one course of antibiotics.
Local and systemic analgesic and anti - inflammatory drugs will help in relieving the pain.
Take care.
