Why Am I Getting Positive Result For Pregnancy In A Hpt And Negative Result In Blood Test?

i am female 36, having weird movements under left ribcage took preg test back in june, came back pos. took one a doctors, came back neg. periods were irregular for couple of months (im usually like clockwork), following month took another hpt, came back pos, took blood test neg...help...

I understand your concerns

You don't need to worry so much. A pregnancy test strip has a time interval during which you have to read the results. If you go beyond this time interval, a faint second line might appear giving you the false impression that the test is positive.
Furthermore, a blood pregnancy test is more sensitive than a urine pregnancy test. So if the blood pregnancy test is negative, it is unlikely that you are pregnant.
