Why Am I Having Cough And A Blocked Nose For A Few Days Now?

I generally feel light headed, a bit nauseous, noticeably retaining a lot of water under my skin, around my face in particular. I experienced a headache today. Have cold sweats at night whilst sleeping. I have had a slight cough as well as a blocked nose for a few days now also

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of having cough and a blocked nose for a few days is because of infection of upper respiratory tract and blockage of sinuses. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to maintain hydration level first of all. Take plenty of fluids to child. Take combination of anti allergic such as cetirizine and saline nasal decongestants. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. Go for blood and sputum test first and get it examined. Start treatment after proper diagnosis. Take steam inhalation as well. For nasal block, plain saline nasal drops will do, every 4-6th hourly to relive nasal congestion.
