Why Am I Having Extra Skin On The Top Of Anus?

I have extra skin on the top of my anus. I can stretch it and feels like a triangular mass. Its painless. Sometimes it gets irritated and swells but then goes back down. I had it since I was in my early teens and didn't think much of it. What could it be?

Hi,

After reading your query I can make two possibilities:

1. Sentinel pile related to hemorrhoids: It is a over proliferation of skin due to hemorrhoids and is exactly at the verge of anal skin.

2. Simple skin tags: It is a over proliferation of skin simply due to aging process.

IF it is Sentinel pile related to hemorrhoids then you can meet a surgeon preferably and can get it excised. Excision is a simple procedure which takes just few minute.

If these are Simple skin tags then can be meet a dermatologist and get it removed by simple process of radio-frequency.
