Why Am I Having Nausea, Lightheadedness And Dizziness After Having Food?

for the past 3 weeks after I eat a meal within 2 hours later I am nauseous, light headed and dizzy, and have a hard time concentrating. I have tested my bp's and they are averaging 118/68, my blood sugars are staying within non diabetic ranges. It's starting to make me nervous.

Hi there,

You might be suffering from gastritis.

Do you have any other symptoms like bloating, excessive burping, abdominal pain, burning sensation in the chest?
I would advise you to eat frequent smaller meals. Instead of 3 large meals a day, have 4-6 smaller meals.
Avoid oily, spicy, fatty food.
Avoid tea, coffee, alcohol, smoking, carbonated beverages.
Have warm water to drink at regular intervals. Have 8-10 glasses of water a day.
You might need to take an antacid like Omeprazole.

If you do not feel better with the above symptoms, please visit your physician.

Do get your thyroid levels, Vit B12 levels and hemoglobin levels checked, to be on the safer side.

The good part is your BP and sugar levels are normal.

Hope I provided you with some useful information.

Get well soon.

Regards,
Dr. Divya Kuttikrishnan
