Why Am I Not Getting Periods?

Hi, I am 36 yrs old. My period was supposed to come on 30th May, on 21st may I had little spots. After I didnt get bleeding on 30th, I took regesteron tablets on 4th June till 7th June, 3 tabs per day. Today is 9th, and still there is no signs of periods. How long does it take generally?

Hi,

Spotting on 21st, followed by no normal period till 4th of June and you took tab. Regestrone in high dose for 3 days with an intention, to induce bleeding in case of possible pregnancy. Usually if MTP / normal period is to be induced with the pills, bleeding starts after 4-8 days from last day of pills. You need to wait till 8 days after the pills for the periods.

In case there is no bleeding till then. You need testing to exclude pregnancy and if pregnancy is positive. You need to abort the pregnancy (for the Regestrone pills can be hazardous to health). In case of no pregnancy or withdrawal bleeding, there is need for further investigations and advice after that by a gynecologist.
