Why Are Naturogest And Ovidac Injections Prescribed During Pregnancy?

Hi ,i am a married girl since last 6 months.we first tried for pregnancy on april only.my last menstruation period was on 9th april.till 15th of this month i missed my period.so consulted a doctor and confirmed pregnancy.i am 5 weeks pregnant now.doctor gave me naturogest injections and ovidac injections.i have heard these injections are usually given for infertile couples.so why am i been given by these injections?????.plzzz reply me

Hi,

These medications are given to support your pregnancy.
1. Naturogest injection (micronised progesterone) which is similar to the female hormone, progesterone supports and maintain normal pregnancy.
2. Ovidac injection (human chorionic gonadotropin) given during early pregnancy is also useful in preventing miscarriage (abortion) as it helps supporting and maintaining the pregnancy.

It can also be taken along with injection Naturogest. So, continue taking these injections as advised by your doctor.
