Why Are My Ankles Swollen?

i have swelling ankles mainly my left when on feet for a l;ong time mainly in the summer months. I have had a sonogram on my legs but cpouldnt find anything. not sure what causes it or what is wrong with me, Is it my heart? I do have a sticky valve. I need an answer so I can get the correct dr
