Why Are My Breasts Sore?

I am currently over a week late for my cycle, my breasts are sore, I have a metallic taste in my mouth, and have taken 2 pregnancy tests that came back negative. I have 3 children and had a tubal ligation after my 3rd, and I would like to think that I know my body well, but this is confusing me. Any advice?

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
These symptoms could be due to hormonal changes and as your pregnancy test is negative it is most likely not due to pregnancy.
To confirm and rule out pregnancy you should get your blood beta hcg testing.
