Why Are My Ears Blocked And Hearing Impaired?

Hey, I have had blocked ears after flying last week for 7 days now. This was from a bad cold I had when flying. The cold is clearing up but my left ear is still blocked (hearing impared but no pain). I have a flight in two days time, will it be safe to fly?

Hello

It is likely that your eustachian tube , which i a normal tube between your ear and nose has become blocked due to the pressure changes in the aicrft during flight. This will lead to accumulation of fluid in the ear causing the blocking feeling and decreased haring.Please meet your ent doctor for confirming this , he will prescribe you the necessary drugs.

I would strongly recommend that you DO NOT fly again for atleast 2 weeks , till your ear clears up or may risk damaging your ear.
