Why Are My Periods Delayed Post Tonsillectomy?

I had a tonsillectomy last Friday, and the Wednesday before that I started my period. My period usually ends on Sunday, but it is not Tuesday and it's still going on. I was wondering if any ofthe medications or anything that happened during surgery would be prolonging my cycle.

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You have gone through tonsillectomy. Generally it has no relation with your period. But because of operative stress or some drugs it can last longer. Don't worry much about that. Wait for 2 or 3 days. If it last longer then consult your gynecologist and go fir examination.
