Why Are The White Patches Along The Scrotum Which Are Itchy At Times?
Im 32 yrs old and married since one and half years, i have problem of scrotal skin discolouration, that I noticed 2 weeks bak....the skin below my penis at its root and on the balls surrounding hav white patches that means its much lighter thn rest of the darker scrotal skin, it may itch at time too, one more thing I tel u that im v conscious for my hygiene so im very neat and clean person wash it frequently and apply different body sprays as wel.
please tel me what is this along its etiology???

I can understand your concern for the white patches along the scrotum which are itchy at times.
There can be multiple possibilities of the white patches but after reading your history I can make out the possibility of Fungal infection of the area. If this is raised and causing flaking with maceration of skin along with map like appearance then this is the best possibility.
I suggest you to apply plane anti-fungal cream such as clotrimazole or ketoconazole. Take fluconazole 150 mg alternate days or tablet terbinafine 250 mg daily for 15 days. Do not apply any mixed cream or mixed ointments as it causes further aggravation of the problem.
Do not pinch, pop or scratch the area. Keep the area dry and wear cotton clothes. Change the clothes two time a day. Do not get exposed to extremes of environment and protect yourself from heat and humidity.
