Why Body Aches And Chills After Alcohol Consumption?

Last night after consuming an alcoholic energy beverage, my body began to ache and I had chills. I felt cold but my body was very warm. I also continued to yawn and stretch all night and could not sleep. I tried to take slow, deep breaths but after four I would just yawn again. After a couple of hours I finally took some Tylenol and water and I was able to get some sleep. Can you tell me what these symptoms mean? Even today I have chills but my body is warm and weak.

Hi.. These are the normal effects of alcohol.. Alcohol induces diuresis and causes dilatation of the blood vessels along with drop in the sugar levels which are the cause for the symptoms.. The severity of these symptoms increase as the amount of alcohol intake increases..
