Why Bright Red Blood Is Coming From Rectum After Drinking Alcohol?

Hi, I m a 56 yr. old female. I drank too much on Wednesday, I ended up with bright red blood coming out of my rectum. It slowed the next day to light orange and mucus. I went to Urgent Care on Saturday. I haven t had a bowel movement since then, just light diarea, maybe 2 Tbs. 3 times. The Doctor said it was constipation. It is now Sunday afternoon and still haven t gone, he prescribed suppositories and stool softener. I have only used 2 doses so far. I am lightheaded but not dizzy. Should I wait or go to the ER? I m afraid of internal bleeding but nothing is coming out. Thank you...

Just be attentive to the physician's advice. Have FAITH and PATIENCE which can help you overcome all the troubles which you are presently confronting. Have a comprehensive health check up done in your town.

Check out your frequency of plunging in to alcohol. If you find yourself more getting involved in this undesirable habit, try putting a restraint. Still find difficult, consult a Psychiatrist and Psychologist who can help you with medications for lessening the cravings and inculcate socially desirable traits.

Growing old is inevitable; growing up is optional. Think of it.
