Why Did I Bleed At 10 Weeks Pregnancy?

I am 10 weeks pregnant. I had Bleeding last week, my ObGyn after examining said i had Cervical Polyps. She also ordered TV Ultra sound to ensure no other Issues...2 days later had my Ultrasound. But during US, technician said she does not see any Polyps in Cervix. What could be the reason for not seeing in Ultrasound

Hi,
Firstly, the reason for the cervical polyps being not visualized in the sonogram could be due to the position of the polyps, their size or the probe and the accuracy of the procedure. Secondly, the polyps, if very small, can pass out spontaneously and as such may not be seen. Please ask your gynecologist to correlate the findings and plan further management. Prolapsing gestation sac also has to be excluded. Hope your query has been answered. Wish you good health.
