Why Did I Feel Lack Of Oxygen While Travelling By Air?

Hi i am 30 yrs old male... Five years back when i was travelling for first time by Air with my dad as i was enjoying my first time flying moment the flight was ready to take off suddenly i dont know what happen to me i felt like the oxygen inside plane is not enough i felt like i was strugling to breath I thought i was about to die... I was travelling from Bangalore to Mumbai i couldnt enjoy the moment i travelled upto mumbai putting oxygen mask I felt ashmed in front of all the passengers & small childrens inside the flight.. After this i have not travelled by air at all... What is the problem... I want to travel but i am scared again i may experience same problem....

Based on the symptoms that you had, it is possible that you had a panic attack.

Panic attacks are a form of anxiety. Anxiety can present in different ways and this is one of these ways.
Anxiety is common, many persons have it and you do not need to be ashamed but you should consider seeking treatment to help.

Your general doctor may be able to refer you to a psychologist or psychiatrist who may be able to initiate treatment to help conquer this fear.
