Why Did I Have Spotting Of Fresh Blood During My Pregnancy?

I am 32 years old. I had spotting of fresh blood and was done for ultrasound which showed some clots at the back of my placenta. The placenta was described to be lying on the anterior side. By then I was gravid at 23 weeks. A repeat ultrasound after being on bed rest for two weeks showed that the pregnancy was now 26 weeks with no clots behind the placenta. My worry is that am told by my doctor to avoid long distance travel and putting pressure on my belly. What could have caused this problem?

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern look the slight detachment of placenta during the first trimester during the 8 to 12 week of pregnancy is some time happens after the detachment the oozing of blood took place form the detachment area and that causes the spotting or formation of clot, as a matter of fact taking bed rest gives little support, you have already completed the 26 weeks then no need to worry about this, continues follow up is advisable, take care and good luck.
