Why Did Acupuncture Cause Headache, Tingling And Numbness Above The Right Eye?

Hi, My husband had a tramatic brain injury 2 months ago. He ahs been going to acupunture for relief of some of the symptoms, and today's treatment caused a headache, tingling and numbness above his right eye. he is disoriented, and went to bed. it was a new person, as his regualr doctor is on vacation. Not sure what might be happening, do you have any insight?
