Why Do I Face Sharp Abdominal Pain After Overeating?

I have had 3-4 episodes this year where I have had a heavy meal and in the middle of the night awoken with reasonably sharp pain on the right side of mu abdomen just at the base of my rib cage... on 2 occasions I vomited and felt better immediately and then on one occasion (last night) I didn t and the I still have mild discomfort. I have had no problems at any other time but it seems if I over eat this is brought on. ~I am otherwise healthy, non-smoker, light drinker, not overweight, exercise regularly and NRMH.

Hi.This is very obviously due to the inability of your stomach to handle larger quantity of food that it handles in a regular day.
In fact you should take food in small frequent quantity.
