Why Do I Feel Gas In Throat?

My abdomen is not in pain but every few seconds I feel like I have gas in my throat and need to burp. Everytime I inhale air through my mouth it forces me to burp as well. I do not have to fart however. It s been this way for 2 weeks what could be the problem? Thanks

This sounds like an acute case of reflux and could be due to stress or a change in diet.
Avoid smoking and alcohol, fried and junk foods and too much tea or coffee. You could try Milk of magnesia (Gelusil MPS) to chew after lunch and dinner but not for more than 4- 5 days. If the problem persists, do see a doctor.
