Why Do I Feel High Pulse In My Upper Stomach?

Hi. I’m 41, African American, I was in Dubai, UAE for a visit, over there I had sever hike in my blood pressure along with sever pulse in stomach. My blood pressure is under control now, but still I get sudden spikes of BP, and high pulse in upper stomach. I have seen heart specialist, and he said my heart is fine. I have seen an ulcer specialist, and he said I was fine as well. I get back pain in the center of my back. I have done lots of tests, still I feel that pulse twice a month, and it is worrisome for me.

hello.. its a pleasure to answer your query. as i see you are quite concerned with your complaints. i can understand your concern. since you have high blood pressure spikes with pain in stomach, there may be a possibility of an adrenal gland tumour. known as pheochromocytoma. there can be other causes as well.. i would advice you to do a CT scan of the abdomen for the same.. still it maybe nothing but just primary hypertension in which some patients have a pulsing snesation in the stomach.Also if you have persistent high BP , you should be on BP medications.. telmisartan 40 mg once daily would be my recommendation.
