General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
This is a clear case of allergic reaction to alcohol or its ingredients . Because when you drink alcohol it develops antihistminic reaction and it causes allergic reaction , hence there develop bronchoconstriction . This produces whistling sound during breathing . This bronchoconstriction causes cough and cold ( due to constriction). Only two options are there .
1 get rid of alcohol , so reaction will not occur.
2 Take some antihistamine tablet with alcohol and you will not develop such allergy or cough , if occurs severity will be less.
This is my personal advise don't drink alcohol.
Good luck.
