Why Do I Have A Constant Sweet Taste On My Tongue?
I have a constant sweet taste (like an artificial sweetner) in my mouth. It is much worse after eating. I have had this for about 2 months. I have been trying to lose weight and have lost about 3.5kgs. I have also had an operation on my ear about 2.5 months ago.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have constant sweet taste on my tongue which seems to due to improper oral hygiene and acid reflux and particularly silent reflux. Sometimes nerve dysfunction and diabetes can also cause such symptoms. I would suggest you to avoid eating late night, eat at least 1 hour before going to bed. Take light walk at least for 15 minutes after every meal. Avoid spicy and heavy meals like very fatty and sugary food. Consult endocrinoloist for proper examination . Doctor may order blood test to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe medicines like metformin. Doctor may also refer you to dentist for dental infection .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
