Why Do I Have A Persistent Small Bump At The Temple Area On The Side Of My Face?

I have a small bump at the temple area on the side of my face that has been there for months and won’t go away, it keeps filling of pus and it’s about the size of a pimple. I do see a skin doctor every 6 months. Just wondering if a cancer spot can contain pus?
