Recently I ve had a really bad head ache and have felt dizzy and sick, I ve passed out once when I ve felt really dizzy but that was a while ago I went to the doctors but they said its nothing to worried about but I have a really bad head ache on the left side of my head right now going into the back of my eye and I rubbed the back of my head on the left side and realise it seemed to be quite large I am only 14 years old so I don t know what it could be?
I understand your concern and would explain that your symptoms could be related to low blood pressure.
Have you measured your blood pressure?
An intracranial lesion can not be excluded.
Coming to this point, I would recommend performing some tests to investigate for the possible causes of your troubles:
- complete blood count for anemia or infection - inflammation tests (PCR, sedimentation rate) - a brain MRI (considering your young age, I would not prefer CT scan because of the radiation).
You should discuss with your doctor on the above issues.
Best wishes,
Dr. Aida
