For the past few weeks I have been feeling breathless and my heart beat feels more pronounced. Sometimes it
beats very slowly, other times it seems weak and rapid, on occasions it feels like it skips, with a bumping
sensation. I am an extremely anxious person, could this be the cause?

Irregular heart beats may be due to anxiety as you mentioned or due to too much intake of coffee, tea,etc., It may be also due to some heart diseases. They can be treated so you need not have concern. But you need a physical check up and an ECG which will mostly pick up the cause of your irregular heart beat and so appropriate treatment can be started. Hence kindly consult a cardiologist.
