Why Do I Have Pain In Mouth With Little Swelling?

I have. Terrible cold, with lots of sinus pressure for several days. Stayed inbed for. Few days. The. Two days ago, when I finally had strength to get up and move around, by mid day I started to feel a lot of pressure like pain on the front part of the roof of my mouth and behind my front teeth. The teeth didn't hurt though. The pain was excruciating last night. But this morning, while the pain onroof of mouth and around my nose has lessened significantly, there is a bump ( swelling of tissue on roof of mouth tht is continuing to get bigger. It looks like there is a black spot, but maybe it is just a vein.
