Why Do I Have To Wait Over Two Months For Surgery On A Non-weight-bearing Tibia Fracture With A Crushed Knee, Despite Being In Constant Pain?

On January 27th I fell fractured my tibia and crushed my knee. I went to the ER after xrays and ct scan they put me in a foam leg brace non weight bearing. I got in to see my orthopedic surgeon and scheduled me for surgery April 3rd. Why am I m having to wait over 2 months for surgery? I m in constant pain and do not understand why I m having to wait so long. I m 65 on a non weight bearing fracture. Can you give me some idea why he s making me wait. Thank you.
