Why Do I Spit Blood Early In The Morning?

I usually spit blood when i awake in the morning. I don t think it is from my gums, although i do bleed from gums sometimes. However, whenever i check my gums there is no blood between my teeth to show that i could have been bleeding during my sleep.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Spitting of blood after awakening could be due to some lesion in the larynx or in the respiratory tract.
I suggest you to consult a ENT specialist for clinical examination of the throat to look for any lesion.
Laryngeal lesions like ulcer, polyp or growths can cause bleeding from the throat.
There are various lesions in the respiratory tract which can cause bleeding like tuberculosis or malignancy in the respiratory tract.
Consult your physician for relevant investigations like X-ray of chest and CT scan if required.

Thanks and take care
