Why Do Aerated Drinks Cause Blood To Be Seen In Urine?
My daughter says she gets a bit of blood in her urine and on the paper when she wipes. We thought it might be a shift in her monthly cycle as she recently statred a new job with a lot of female co workers. She used to drink a lot of orange soda but has recently stopped and switched to water. Drinking water seems to make it stop. This happened a couple of weeks ago but was followed several days later by her period. She didn t have a problem again until today. And she said she had two sodas in the past few days.

The orange soda and similar drinks wouldn't cause this problem and it needs to be evaluated with a urinalysis to check for a bladder infection or a kidney problem
