Why Do Eyes Swell Up?

Last night I noticed that there was a knot in my right eyebrow. There was not any redness, but there is pain. This morning when i woke up my eye was swollend and it hurts worse. I can barely touch it. I'm not sure what it could be. Any ideas? Should I make an appointment with my PCP?

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having swelling of the eyelids associated with pain. This indicates inflammatory disease of the glands of the eyelids.
The treatment is by use of antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs. Applying hot compression provides symptomatic relief.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and prescription of drugs.

Thank you
