Why Do My Ears Feel Blocked?

Hello, for about 3 years now my ears feel blocked and will not pop back (the feeling you get when you are on a plane) I try to hold my nose and blow as hard as i can but it still will not pop back. It feels as if something is growing bigger and pushing on my ear tubes? Last yr the dr gave me a nose balloon to blow up with 1 nostril at a time but this done nothing to help. Any advice would be much appreciated

Hello,
You should avoid such blowing.
This blowing could lead to spread of infection from back of nose to middle part of ears.
Or if the tube is patent then there can be excessive pressure on the ear drum from inside and would lead to bursting of the ear drum.
There is a tube at back of nose which connects to the middle part of ear.
You need to take antihistaminics and decongestants .decongestants could be both oral and nasal.
In doubt do reply.
