Why Do Periods Get Delayed Even After Taking I Pill?

Hi. i did intercourse with my girlfriend in 11/04/2014. It was protected but it slightly crashed. again i did intercourse in 17/04/2014. It was unprotected. And my girlfriend took i-pill within 15 minutes after the intercourse(17/04/2014). But she hasn t got any sign of bleeding or period yet. Why?? Is there any chance of getting pregnant? I m worried about the 1st intercourse(11/04/2014). Because the protection has crashed and i didn t use any backup plan. Please answer.. We are very worried. Thank you.

Hi,

Slight menstrual irregularities are quite common after taking emergency pills including I-pill. You may get slightly delayed periods and it will not indicate that you are pregnant.

You can go for a urine pregnancy test (UPT) for reassurance.
