Why Does My Daughter Have A Long Red String Like Flesh Coming Out Of Her Vagina?

my daughter is five years old & since she was a baby i noticed a long red string like flesh coming out of her vagina? I dont know if i need to take her to her doctor to have it checked? Its not bothering her because its been there since she was a baby. Thank you
