Why Does My Itchy Scalp Spot Now Have A Persistent Dent?

I’ve had one spot on my scalp that always itches. I’m pretty sure I broke the skin a few times. Anyway I’ve itched in that same spot for quite a while. Now I feel a little divet/dent where it used to be. The dent still itches at times though. What’s going on should I be worried?
