Why Does One Experience Abnormalities In Menstruation?

Hi doc.i am now 34.ia m currently experiencing abnormalities in my menstruation.during the expected schedule of menstruation, i had a vaginal discharge and a dark dry blood comes out. I am confused if i am pregnant or with infection since this is the 1st time i experienced such during my expected period
