A long time ago, they used to call women who were pregnant (in old English) women being in "delicate condition" because they would faint very easily! This is because healthy women can have very low blood pressure when they are pregnant, especially in the second and early third trimester.
Low blood pressure can make you feel faint when you stand for long periods and if you get up too fast. The blackness in front of your eyes is literally you beginning to faint.
So be careful! If you start to feel that way sit down quickly or lie down and put your legs up. Making sure you are well hydrated helps to keep your blood pressure from falling- so make sure you drink at least 3-4 liters of water a day. Also anemia can make you feel weak as well so make sure your doctor has recently checked your blood count.
I hope I was able to answer your question today and that my advice was helpful.
Best wishes for the rest of your pregnancy, Dr. Brown.
