Why Does One Prescribe Duphaston?

hi im anne 28 years old i have vaginal bleeding one week ago and my doctor prescribed to me duphaston ia am considered early pregnancy 4 weeks and 4 days by msd?and my doctor said that duphaston will help in the development of my pregnancy or if not will help my menstrual cycle?can you explain clearly what is the real score?am i pregnant or not?

Duphastan is a progesterone. Progesterone causes uterine quicense. It keeps the uterus relaxed. So in case of bleeding during pregnancy progesterone s are prescribed. Your gynaec will confirm the viability of your pregnancy in a week s time.
