Why Does The Crown And My Scalp Become Tender Near The Follicles?

The crown and top of my scalp becomes very tender at the follicles. I thought it may be product used in the hair, but it continues to hurt with changes in shampoo and product. I only wash my hair 2-3 week. scalp is not reddened or itchy. just tender when I wear it natural. sometimes I have to pull it back so it doesn t hurt from any movement. I don t color my hair.
